Takeoff was created on the thesis that 1) entrepreneurs need to navigate legal concerns and issues beyond their ordinary understanding and reach, and 2) these concerns and issues do not have to be beyond the entrepreneur's understanding and reach.

Takeoff was built for those who are starting at the leap of faith required to take on entrepreneurship, as well as for those who already took a deep breath and made the plunge. Launching a business can be scary, stressful, and difficult for so many reasons. Takeoff exists so that Legal isn't one of them.

Importantly, the Takeoff team accounts for founders not knowing what they don't know. You don't need to know what you're looking for; we'll find it and help you regardless. Takeoff was designed to meet the founder where they are, and help them build a strong legal foundation, whether they're building a startup they want to raise millions for or a friendly neighborhood nail salon.

What Takeoff Is

Takeoff is a legal navigation platform designed to guide startup and small business founders through a legally healthy launch.

Takeoff contains an assessment designed to surface legal flags and other considerations impacting a startup or small business' legal foundation.

One of the ways Takeoff leverages artificial intelligence is through its chatbot, Agapius, which has context from the assessment, and is proactive in guiding the user through steps towards success.

The user receives an action plan which shows them how founders in similar positions to the user have strengthened their legal foundation or navigated that issue. This is not legal advice or a prescription to do something, rather it is purely for informational purposes.

Takeoff also includes various tools, analyzers, and document generators for the founder to get started on some of the paths forward surfaced by the system. The founder can both prepare essential paperwork like founder agreements and intellectual property assignments, as well as upload key external documents such as commercial leases or term sheets for analysis.

The aggregate impact of the system is meeting the founder where they are, and providing them with a walkthrough towards legal robustness while preserving their optionality.
